Yes. North Shore Life Ceremonies offers Christian, faith-based, non-denominational, and secular ceremonies. Each ceremony is tailored to reflect your beliefs, values, and preferences.
Do you officiate same-sex marriages?
Yes. We proudly serve couples of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations and are committed to creating meaningful ceremonies that celebrate your relationship with dignity and respect.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely. Many couples choose to write their own vows. We can provide guidance, examples, and assistance if you’d like help crafting vows that reflect your relationship and commitment.
Do we need to have a rehearsal?
A rehearsal is not required for every wedding, but it can help ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on the wedding day. Rehearsal attendance is included with the Signature Wedding Experience and may be added to other packages.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date. However, we understand that some ceremonies are planned on short notice, and expedited scheduling may be available depending on availability.
Do you travel for ceremonies?
Yes. We serve Southeast Michigan and Northern Ohio and are available for destination weddings and ceremonies outside our standard service area. Additional travel fees may apply.
What is required to get married in Michigan?
Couples must obtain a valid marriage license from the appropriate county clerk’s office before the ceremony. We are happy to answer general questions and provide guidance regarding the process.
What happens during our planning meeting?
Your planning meeting gives us an opportunity to discuss your ceremony, review available options, answer questions, and ensure the ceremony reflects your vision, preferences, and values.
